Ms. Quiñones attended the University of the Incarnate Word, where she received her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in 2005. She then attended St. Mary's University School of Law, and received her J.D. degree in 2011.
Before attending law school, Ms. Quiñones was a senior litigation paralegal for an insurance defense firm in Corpus Christi, Texas. In law school, she served on the Editorial Board of the St. Mary’s Law Journal as a Research/Articles Editor, and the Comment she wrote as a Staff Writer was published in the Journal. Currently, Ms. Quiñones practices in the area of medical and nursing malpractice defense and has represented physicians, nurses, hospitals, and nursing homes across the State, advising her clients on pre-litigation issues all the way through providing them with a vigorous defense at trial. She also has educated physicians in Texas on significant healthcare issues by speaking at Continuing Medical Education seminars. Ms. Quiñones also has defended clients in premises liability, trusts, commercial, and contract matters. Ms. Quiñones was recognized in San Antonio Scene’s “Rising Star Lawyers” list for 2018.

Ms. Quiñones enjoys watching live music and visiting the Coast. She also devotes her time to charity and is a proud Rotarian. April has volunteered many hours to various charitable organizations, such as Transplants for Children, Eva’s Heroes, Snack Packs for Kids, and Dress for Success, and has co-chaired and served on numerous committees. April has also provided pro bono legal services to the indigent through the Bexar County Community Justice Program.
